Why We Exist
Businesses rarely struggle because people aren't working hard. They struggle because good people are working inside systems that evolved accidentally.
We help organizations identify unnecessary complexity, improve operational systems, and create processes that support the people using them.
About Melissa
Before AI Proof Your Firm, Melissa spent years building and running businesses of her own—including one that grew to eight figures in revenue, with operations spanning four states and more than seventy-five employees. That experience, across industries as different as nonprofit, oil and gas, and real estate, taught her the same lesson from a dozen different angles: growth doesn't wait for your systems to catch up. The processes that get a five-person team through its first year rarely survive the jump to fifty.
That experience shaped a simple belief: most operational problems aren't technology problems. They're clarity problems. A workaround that made sense two years ago can quietly become the default way of doing things, long after the reason for it disappeared. Melissa's work is about finding those moments—the quiet inefficiencies everyone has learned to live with—and rebuilding the process underneath them.
She approaches each engagement the same way: look closely before recommending anything. Understand how work actually moves through an organization, not how it's supposed to move on paper. That grounded, practical approach means recommendations are things a firm can actually implement, not theoretical best practices borrowed from a different kind of business.
Today, that same thinking extends naturally to AI—not as a trend to adopt, but as one more tool that only helps once the underlying system is sound. Whether the right answer for a firm involves automation or simply a clearer workflow, the goal is the same: fewer dependencies on any one person's memory, and a business that runs a little more on purpose.
